Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 21 February 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and expectations for all users of PrivatePads. It exists to ensure the safety, privacy, and legal compliance of everyone who uses the Platform. Violations of this policy will result in enforcement action, up to and including immediate account termination.

2. Single-occupancy rule

All properties on PrivatePads are strictly single-occupancy. Only one independent worker may occupy a property at any given time. This is a core safety and compliance requirement of the Platform.

  • Hosts must not allow multiple workers to use a property simultaneously
  • Guests must not share their booking or invite other workers to the property
  • Properties must not be used to operate multi-person establishments

3. Prohibited activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on PrivatePads. This list is not exhaustive — any activity that endangers users or violates the law is prohibited:

  • Trafficking and coercion — any form of human trafficking, forced labour, or coercion of individuals
  • Underage involvement — all users must be 18 or over; any involvement of minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to authorities
  • Drug use and distribution — use, possession, or distribution of illegal substances on listed properties
  • Violence and threats — physical violence, intimidation, harassment, or threats against any user
  • Fraud and misrepresentation — providing false information, creating fake listings, or misrepresenting property conditions
  • Illegal activity — any activity that violates local, national, or international law
  • Sub-letting — transferring or sharing a booking with others without Host permission

4. Host responsibilities

Hosts must:

  • Ensure their property is used in accordance with this policy
  • Not knowingly facilitate multi-person operations at their property
  • Report any suspected violations to PrivatePads immediately
  • Maintain a safe environment for Guests
  • Not exploit, pressure, or coerce Guests in any way

5. Guest responsibilities

Guests must:

  • Use the property solely for the purpose described in the booking
  • Not sub-let or share the space with other workers
  • Not engage in any prohibited activities on the premises
  • Treat the property and Host with respect
  • Report any safety concerns or policy violations

6. Reporting violations

If you witness or suspect a violation of this policy, please report it immediately. You can:

All reports are treated confidentially. We will never reveal your identity to the reported party without your consent. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact the police.
